Saturday, August 27, 2016, your Oklahoma District would like to offer your Outpost something for your Ranger Kids. Section 9N will be having a Ranger Kids Fun Day, hosted by Outpost 80 at Jones Assembly of God, 5th & Sullivan Streets, Jones, OK.
From approximately 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Ranger Kids will be introduced to gun safety with Eddie Eagle, do some air soft shooting, run/ride the obstacle course. Depending on time and resources we may bring back an activity or two from our Mini Pow Wow. Lunch and snacks are included for the boys and Group Leaders. Appropriate safety gear will also be provided.
What do we need from you? If you are not your Outpost’s Ranger Kids Group Leader, we need you to help spread the word by getting this notice and flyer to the appropriate people in your Outpost. In order to ensure we have enough supplies we need as many outposts as possible to pre-register. Send a text or email to the number/address below. We can also use some helpers to work with the boys. Discovery or Adventure Rangers that need Community and/or Church Service hours for FCF Advancement or for a Leadership Merit, this is the perfect opportunity for them! Also, anyone familiar with the NRA’s Eddie Eagle Program or anyone involved with Royal Rangers Shooting Sports are needed to help with our Air Soft Shooting. Boys will receive completion certificates for the Eddie Eagle Program as well as a Commanders Choice Achievement. If I can find an achievement to go along with the obstacle course, they’ll go home with that one too.
Please have your Outpost pre-registered by Thursday, August 18, 2016. It is important that I have current email or mailing addresses for all Outposts coming. This way, I can send the requirements for the Commanders Choice Achievement so the boys can begin working on some of them in advance.
This is an approved event so it can be used as an outpost event for Ranger Kids’ Advancements. Again, please pre-register by August 18th. Confirmations will be sent as we receive registrations. Hoping to see you and your Ranger Kids on Saturday, August 27, 2016!
In His Service,
Ranger Kids Group Leader
